I have been enjoying my recent afternoon/evening walks so went for another one today rather than the traditional dark sky start.

Set off at around 2:20pm, great afternoon of sunshine with little in the way of cloud around. Underfoot there was a light dusting of snow and a fair bit of ice. Pretty cold but no wind which would have made things feezing.

I was walking fairly swiftly past Mill Dam and Raor Lodge which got me to the bridge at the far end of Loch Ordie in 01:31. One slight obstruction while walking past Loch Ordie, there were half a dozen cows on the track and they decided just to stand their ground while I went past them.

The track deteriorated a little bit after Loch Ordie so I went as far as the 1st bridge up the glen to the north of Loch Ordie then turned and headed for home.

On the downhill sections I just needed to be a bit more careful on the ice so I was a little bit slower as a result. Head torch (fully charged and spare torch also in the rucksack after last week) was on about two miles from the car and it was another lovely night to be out in the hills.
