Started by the bridge/Jetty at Loch Earn. The track eventually gave way to path, this was mostly frozen solid, and quite treacherous. Further up the snow pack consolidated, and the going became better underfoot. To avoid the ice on the return we headed towards Glen Vorlich, lee of the wind it was knee deep snow in some places, then returned to our outward route once below the icy areas.
Squally wintery showers first thing, this calmed to generally favourable conditions until we reached the upper slopes, here the winds became very strong.
