Hill of Deskie

Had to abandon my original plan as the road was too icy where I was headed and eventually thought of Hill of Deskie as a short alternative with a roadside start after a fair bit of aimless driving around.
Still plenty icy in the car park though but the track to Deskie Farm was gritted in places so not too bad getting past the iciest parts.
It felt good to get the legs working as I've not been able to play football for the last three weeks due to icy astroturf and my only recent exercise has been jogging around the garden and on my wife's treadmill.
After the farm track soft snow helped to up the exercise level and I had to pause half way to catch my breath. Good views to take in though towards Sgor Gaoith and over Carn Liath.
At the top Ben Rinnes also came into view and it felt like a worthwhile hour's walk just for the summit panorama.
