A year since I've been up a small local hill for sunrise so time for another I thought.
Fourman Hill is the nearest bump of note nearby and only takes forty or fifty minutes to ascend so no need for a headtorch; quite bright all the way up. In fact, there was already a rosy tint to the clouds when I left the house at 7.30am and the sky was positively ablaze when I got to the road end, ready to start walking at 8am.
To add to the atmosphere there were strong winds forecast but that only really materialised at the top and it was very warm on the way up -certainly over 10 Celsius but quite a bit colder at the trig point.
Spent a good fifteen minutes taking snaps then about turned once the sun was risen. Strange to see a large patch of snow on a field just south of Knock Hill but I suppose there will still be bits and pieces here and there.
Investigated a path off to the right that I hadn't really noticed before and found that this led past a broken "bees at work" sign and to a clearing where there presumably must have been some honey production on the go at one time.

The sun appears so time for my camera to start misbehaving with all sorts of garish reflections.

That's me, not a garish reflection.
