Munros Ninety Five and Ninety Six

The previous day had been a long one and Toddy and I had slept well on the north shore of Loch an Daimh. Nevertheless, having woken to thick mist, we stirred ourselves and were off quite early, emerging from the temperature inversion into brilliant sunshine just before the summit of Stuchd an Lochain. Sadly, the sunshine didn't last and we were soon overtaken by the clag and had to endure an interminable grey descent to Pubil where, despite rumours to the contrary, there was no pub. The sun, though, was out again and so we headed south up the hard tarmac of the private road which crosses the hills to Glen Lochay. We reached the road's high point in good order and turned east, up the steep slopes of Sgaith Bhuidhe which Toddy unreliably informed me was a Corbett - actually Meall nan Subh. We then headed further east over Meall Taurnaigh and Meall na Cnap Laraich (one of which Toddy seemed to think was also a Corbett) before flogging up onto the mist enshrouded final slopes of Meall Ghaordaidh. It wasn't much fun on the top so we did some navigation and got ourselves down to the shelter of the Larig Luaidhe quite quickly and camped by the burn.
It had, I suppose, been another relatively big day and we were glad to stop walking!
