Not a lot to say about a great wee hill, on a perfect, cold, clear day with amazing views.

Left home in the dark and started walking around 8:40am, took my time on the way up, taking snaps, talking to a deer stalker and enjoying the air. The track up was pretty much snow and ice covered all the way up and what used to be a turn off into the trees to the shoulder ascent was now just a turn off, no trees, all cleared. The normally boggy section was pretty well frozen so no muck.

Reached the top, not a soul in sight until the wee guy who left just before me and his dog appeared from beyond the summit having taken some shelter there. A quick chat and I made my way down to the same spot for a coffee and mince pie break. I was then joined by 4 then another 3 of a group of guys who climb every year, took their picture for them, liberated some German chocolate from one, then donned my spikes to make the descent a bit easier on the icy snow.

Best idea ever, dashed down with no worries about slipping around and back at the car for 11:30am. McDs for a cheeseburger and a coffee, then home for a bath. That's a good day off in my book lol.
