Sunday, 8th. July, 2001:
A third day on the Cuillin with a bunch of lads from Kent - but three consecutive days of good weather were beyond expectation and today views were scarce before the weather deteriorated in the late afternoon.
After the exertions of the previous two days, we made a relatively late start and clambered up the spur on the north side of Waterpipe Gully on Sgurr an Fheadin before heading south east to join the main ridge and traverse the various tops of Sgurr a'Mhadaidh.
- Me helping one of the students (Nick Martin) to negotiate a rock step on Sgurr a'Madaidh (08.07.2001.)
Coming off the hill required some awkward descents and one abseil before we made the pass of An Dorus where we abandoned one of the students (Ed Latter) for a short time; a quick run up to the excellent ridge of Sgurr a'Greadaidh then brought a magnificent but brief clearing in the mist.
- Loch Coruisk from Sgurr a'Greadaidh (08.01.2001.)
Our descent from An Dorus proved to be rather protracted with initial attempts to return over Sgurr Thuilm having to be abandoned in mist, rain and impending darkness! It had, however, been a good day.
