Weather: Dry, on higher ground chilly

Last year we walk the Beinn Eighe Woodland Trail which was very enjoyable. It gave us the idea to come back and walk the Mountain Trail.
At the Lochside car park you can get a little booklet which give interesting informations along the walk. From the car park the trail goes to the nice woodland with good views to Loch Maree.

Behind the woodland the ascend goes on a steep rocky path which is all the way signed. The ascend was not difficult but is a serious hill walk.

At the Conservation Cairn we reached the summit of the walk. The air was clear and the views from here were really great. Only the wind was quite chilly so we have to search for a wind shelter to have a cup of tea.

After passing a plateau with two lochans the walk descends to a impressive gorge.

From here the walk goes to the woodland back to the car park.

The Mountain Trail was full of variety and for us a great day out. :D
