My Second Munro!
With my trusty walking partner Glover (the long suffering boyfriend) we headed out to Ben Vorlich on the most beautiful day imaginable. An early start from the shores of Loch Earn we headed from Ardvorlich along the path towards the summit. The conditions were simply spectacular. Fantastic views throughout, we followed the path south through the grouse butts (seeing a few of the pesky birds along the way!), slowly ascending up the northern face of the mountain. The views from the summit were unimaginable, with stunning view of Stuc a Chroin, which was looking particularly menacing in the snow. We descended back the same way, but had we had time we would have walked back via Ben Our which looked very appealing inthe sunshine (unfortunately we had to drive back to Yorkshire that evening) but would definitely try that route another time, along with contouring Stuc a Chroin! Until next time!
