There are a host of excellent reports for this route so I will limit my words and let my photos speak for me on this one. I had been saving Ben Cruachan and Stob Diamh for a nice day and I jumped on the chance to walk these two after seeing Saturday's forecast. My day started with my 3rd straight cloud inversion, although this one was relatively small compared to the ones near Braemar last week. The entire circuit for this route is fabulous except for some boggy bits on the descent. The slabs below Ben Cruachan did not pose any difficulty on this fine dry day, but I can see how they might be problematic in poor weather. In the end this proved to be another perfect day out for me and this route now ranks high on my list of favorites.
Enjoy!

Cracking
One at the top of my repeat list.
The last one looks really nice but I think the Cruachan summit with Trilleachan reflecting in Loch Etive is my favourite.
Nice work

Yep Monty the last one is full on HDR, I forgot to label it as such.
I really enjoyed this one Kinley and can see why you'd repeat it. I considered doing the corbett Beinn a Bhuiridh next door but the north slope looked way to steep for my liking.
I was on An Socach in Glen Shee Sunday Gammy, ridiculous wind on the top, completely different conditions!

I got your view of Loch Etive but the cloud swallowed us for the rest of the day - so we really need to go back

I thought exactly the same about the slope up to Beinn a' Bhuiridh! Great pics - lovely to see it after, yet again, Richard and me never saw a thing...
But I can see I'm going to have to lead a Walkhighlands expedition to Taynuilt Peak soon if someone doesn't go and do it!
