Glen Shee Munro's

Since this was the first walk of the season we decided to have a go at the three Munro's that no one wanted to do but it would break us in gently as we last walked in April. The weather was meant to be good but it was low cloud and when we were taking the access road up to the top of Carn Aosda i thought this was going to be a monotonous day.
But hey first walk of the winter over with and looking good for the rest. If i could only get rid of this pillow that someone has stuffed up my jumper and down my jooks....
Once on top i could see over to the "Cairnwell". Jings what an ugly summit and I've done a separate post to cover that subject. We walked over to Carn a'Gheoidh first and what a difference as the views became pleasant on the eyes. We saw "Hunners" of Mountain hares which were starting to get their winter coats. The big black dug just looked at them in amazement as they ran. He's fast but these guys were like roadrunner on speed!! When we got to the top we were graced with terrific views especially to the southern Cairngorms. I was starting to enjoy myself now. Then i looked round and saw the journey back to the Cairnwell. But hey first walk of the winter over with and looking good for the rest. If i could only get rid of this pillow that someone has stuffed up my jumper and down my jooks....
