A recent trip report reminded me that I had noted this one as a possible walk for the winter so with the forecast looking great I headed down to the Trossachs. The start of the walk was great on a very good track through an estate owned by the Woodland Trust. Loads of buzzards around and several lizards were out and about too. The walk on the other side of the walk was less fun though, mainly on tarmac so I did a bit of running with Moss to make it more interesting/pass quicker. I must admit though, I was jealous thinking of those up on the summits of the surrounding hills on such a nice day. I do think I could have picked out a better walk to do and saved this for a less nice day, but that's the way it goes I guess! Probably not a walk I'd do again, but I may well return to Glen Finglas as on the last bit there was a SSSI that promises dragonflies so may be a stop off point en route to elsewhere in the summer!
