Superb! It certainly looks from the pics like it was "a somewhat special day".

I must say though, I'd have been pretty nervous on seeing that avalanche debris...

Climbers climbing one of the steep gullies (full zoom):

Thats South Pipe Direct. Looks slightly more appealing than Friday.

The hill is in both great walking and climbing condition at the moment.

Green avalanche forecast and its the shady north side, I was happy walking alongside it on friday. Looked to possibly have been some small sun triggered releases on the sunnier slopes/

Nice one. Good to see Meagaidh in such perfect conditions. The cliffs of Coire Ardair are awesome aren't they? - one of the premier venues for winter climbing in the UK. Some impressive avalanche debris!

The two occasions I was on the plateau were both in whiteouts and I didn't see a thing. First time I got to Mad Meg's Cairn and, thinking it was the summit, headed back down, only to discover later that the summit was further on. Hence my second visit! Will have to go up a third time in decent weather and maybe do one of the easier gullies. Raeburn's looks a good grade I. :)

Amazing :D I only climbed Megi in summer, looks so much better in winter conditions.

Good to see I'm not the only person taking photos of my own cramponed feet
