Now then, we did this walk at the start of september. Weather was bloody marvellous. This was the first day of our trip, we drove to glen affric to tackle Tom'a'Choinich and Toll Creagach the next day.
I was well impressed with this route, stunning 360 views all round with the clear air. Great hills, not hard but nevertheless an enjoyable walk. We camped at a spot not far from the cluanie dam, a perfect area of flat grass near the river. Our visit had been surpisingly midge-free, nothing like the previous horrors we had endured on slioch and ben alligan. That was, of course, until the morning. Oh yes, the boys were back in town. So out came the tropical strength DEET.
Anyway enough rambling, on with the piccies.

We didn't get any visibility on Sgurr nan Conbhairean either. Did it in winter in a whiteout. If I recall correctly, its name translates as "hill of the dog men", implying werewolves. On the summit ridge we came across bootprints that strangely changed into dog paw prints  I'm not making this stuff up!

Bailed out from doing Sail Chaorainn due to the weather, but later did it in summer when camping in Glen Affric and did get views like this.
