And a fantastic day it turned out.
Windy at the dam parking. Waited about 20 minutes to see if it would die down. It never!
Said hullo and cheerio to a lad as I set off but I'd see him later and we'd summit together.
Ground mainly partially frozen all the way to the gate where it's straight up and on to the bogs and hags. Easy to walk on / over as the snow had filled them all in and consolidated- bonus.
At this point i had a break, put the crampons on and waited for the lad behind. He did the same and we went up together. There was a couple of fairly recent prints stil in the snow to follow up- handy.
Stayed well back from any cornices- and the lad I'd went up with told me he'd fell through one once but managed to save himself and get back up
Not too bad. One wee scramble/ledge bit to take into account. Up over that and up go the summit cairn. Cameras passed to each other and photos taken.
I went back the way I came and the other lad went easterly as he was out for a few days in his camper.
Back down safely and dekitted beside another couple who were kiting up and heading up.
Bite to eat and back the way I'd came towards the dam.
Bumped into another couple of lads who were returning rather than going on. One hill too many for one of the lads feet in the past few days. Hope you had a safe drive down south lads.

Great day to do Gairich as when that snow goes it's going to be boggy( like most I suppose).

Stops at the usual in Fort William, Glencoe and Tarbet on the way home. Helicopter out at the bottom of Ben Lomond aiming for some orange smoke. Hopefully they weren't responding to an incident and were just carrying out drills.

Cap doffed to Gairich.
Cheers
