We walked this route on 14 August 2007, a great sunny day after some days of rain. When we reached the top we had stunning views of the whole Cuillin Ridge (sometimes without any clouds) and the mountain scenery on the main land and we could see the Outer Hebrides and the Storr, for example. A really fantastic viewpoint.

We followed the route described here. Thanks for the really good description which helped us to find the route easily. The path was really excellent in the lower part, even after the rain. In the stony gully some care has to be taken because it's quite loose, but it's just a short bit. I was glad that we hadn't taken the clearer path in the bowl of Fionna-choire, because the scree slopes along that way seemed to be quite steep and in addition to that we didn't have to scramble from the wrong peak to the south peak (we like walking more than climbing). Other walkers told us that the other route is more scenic, so if you like scree and climbing that might be your choice.
