On Easter Sunday the first of April Perth & District Hillwalking Club enjoyed a superb winter's walk from Dalnaspidal
to Annat on Loch Rannoch in sunshine visiting the Corbetts Meall na Leitreach and Beinn Mholach taking seven and a half hours to complete. The peaks of Schiehallion, Ben Lui and Ben Nevis were clearly visible in their snow covered glory. Mountain hares, deer, grouse and a mouse were observed.
The Dunalastair hotel in Kinloch Rannoch provided refreshments where the cost of a unit of alcohol was 350p (£7 a pint). Clearly the hotel will experience no difficulties when the minimum price becomes 50p by law. Those preferring a soft drink paid £6.50 for a half pint of orange and lemonade and £6.40 for a cup of tea. The service was good.
