Left in plenty of time to catch the Beinn na Lap express at Crianlarich. Fuelled up, roll and sausage with a large black coffee, you know the phrase ' cornerstone of any nutritious.......'
Train arrived -on time, and we were Corrour bound - we as in me and a carriage of snap happy americans expounding the virtues of the 'cute little hills' Grrrrr
Arrived and changed footwear added gaiters and off
The view back

Sign just before the turn off up the stream- sorry, muddy path :)

Far in the distance a black landrover was dropping off 6 people at the start of the walk up, half an hour later I passed them- three Americans with three children.Quick conversation and off towards the goal for today.
Forgot my Ice Skates,

By this time it was windy and more than a little Siberian  , time for another layer :) Ah, toasty

A selection of shots,

Just before I left the summit the sky decided to brighten, so What did I do- took a picture

Left to head down and it closed in again, last photo of the day,

Took the same route down, with only a slight corner-cut, and back to the station for the long wait for the 18:25 to Crianlarich- it was 14:15 when I started to change
They do a fine Venison burger in the Station Hostel, a whole lot of thumb-twiddling later I was on board the train heading homewards.

I cycled in from Loch Laggan to do this one. Not sure it saved any time but it certainly cut back on the thumb twiddling! :)

Hi Soulminer,
I took the same route as you. (Most walkers do  ) However it was misty on top and I saw nothing much atall. You got some nice views but its a pretty featureless place. Nice and remote though. :D

Sorry about my fellow Americans Soulminer, it annoys me from time to time too. Looks like you had a great day once you got away from civilization.

Fancy them getting someone to drive them to the foot of the hill! What's wrong with the train, or as you amusingly put it, the Ben na Lap Express

Sorry Stretch, it not Americans in general, only the 5 camera obese sandal wearers
Spoke to the Estate workers I met about the non-appearance of the crowd I met going up, who were insisting on going to the top.
