Wooler caravan holiday - Ewan, Aaron, Elliot in tow
First sign of sun this week.set off from Cocklawfoot
really impressed by 3 boys in wintry outing, leki pole each, no complaints all in good fettle.
Buffs come in handy on ridge, 1st break at top of forest before hit ridge, passed by 2 folk with a greyhound.
All beat me to the top, Main break in emergency shelter at summit to keep wind off.
Tougher going in England on Pennine Way descent, flagstones somewhere under 2ft snow.

Stop at descent to change socks and compeed on Arrons heel.
Final ford ferry work for me, carting the 3 boys across beside the bridge!
Weather blustery, cool but blue skies and lots snow in summit ridge and pennine way.
Return to Lorna and well earned bacon/haggis rolls by 5.30pm.
