...and the trip in this detailed Videos & Photos MOVIE:

Woke up at 01:00 am for this trip as the forecast looked very promising for sunday. No bad weather forecasted in Scotland that day, but the visibility showed best for The North. Prepared breakfast on the way, coffee a lot and all my stuff, then checked the forecast again before I left home at 02;30 am. And I guessed that I will spend more than the 4h 30 mins of driving time there because of my usual too many stops for morning's shots around the road ( so different from my usual driving back home as quick as possible )   ...and then the sunrise and inversion made the beautiful morning.......and then...cleared on the start of the climb ! :D :D :D

...and it was dark clouds and rain back in Central Belt when I arrived at 19:00

Looks like a great day up there Petr! I was ogling Ben Klibreck from Ben Loyal on 5th April, but it was covered in icing and I had two friends with me who have no crampons or axes, so it was off-limits this time. Here's what we were looking at though, from BL: Image

Thanks Emma :) it was really great day, love the area there - mostly spending my free days on The North - North-West above Inverness either family trips/camping or my mountains trips. But the distance  ...hope to move closer there one day 8)
I believe you will get there again in the right day and better - safer conditions, Good report from your trip in Sutherland   All the Best...and Happy Birthday ! :D

Rather slushy mostly. Hard snow in some areas only, but still doable without crampons. Used Ice Axe only for the balance and safety especially on steeper exposed slopes. You can expect less and softer snow there as the snow is melting. Hope the weather will stay with you. Enjoy
