Headed up Alford way yesterday. Sadly the weather wasn't quite as expected as it was pouring down when we arrived but we headed up towards Lord Arthur's Hill anyway. The rain stopped but it stayed pretty drizzly for most of the walk so the camera stayed in my bag. The tracks were easy to follow, few boggy bits but nothing too bad biggest difficulty was the river crossing not because it was difficult itself but there were sheep close by and crossing with a dog that wanted to go for a swim almost had me joining her in the water
Just watch the 2nd gate, it drops right down to the ground when opened and nearly landed on my foot! It was awkward trying to lift it to close it again.
