A Friday afternoon walk up our next Corbett with Janice. Started off in decent clear weather but half way up the summit ridge the heavens opened. We had to take shelter on the summit until the squall passed over. Very steep descent S.E to the river and then we had extreme difficulty crossing the river again as it had risen quickly in the rain. Got back to the car safe and sound only to find my specs gone! SugarDaddyIt. Took the edge off the ascent and felt gutted. Two places they could be, half way up the summit ridge or just a few paces north of the summit where we took shelter.
