I took off down Glen Strathfarrer last weekend to walk over some hills I haven't been to before - 3 sub 2000 tops. The weather was cold and crisp with snow lying above about 2000ft on the strathfarrer achnashellach south and sgurr na lapaich munros. A lovely short day out on some hills that probably rarely see any walkers. Brian

Some nice photos down that way. I've looked vaguely at doing something like this before. Reading this may just move it up the priority list a bit, as it is fairly handy to get to.

Yes, if you get the lock number from MCofS as per the winter access arrangements it is a nice area in winter!
