The walk is worth doing. I completed it on a perfect sunny day in Orkney and had wonderful views all the way up and down. The path towards the top of the hill is easy to follow and quite manageable. If you decide to detour off of the main path to the Cairn, be prepared for side-hill walking and some boggy bits. Other than that, I think that it's worth a short reminder to wear some sunscreen. The walk is very exposed and the Orkney sun can surprise you even when it isn't particularly warm out. Lastly, if you've been in Orkney and long to see the occasional tree, the small grove of trees, at the beginning of the walk, is a welcome site!
