I have always wanted to climb the Pap. Along with my brother, today was the day.

We followed the path all the way up and yes it is steep. No bog but warm today for Scottish folk. Lots of tourists who may have thought differently. Great views from the top and well worth the trip

Just as we were leaving the top we heard shouting, at the same time a man arrived looking for his daughter - she wasn't there. There was a mobile signal on the hill and Katie has a mobile. The man's wife who was on her way up had the other mobile. On the way down we spoke to her to let her know that Katie was not on the same hill and could be heard shouting - from somewhere. As she got out the phone she advised us that there was no need to worry, Katie is 17 and also done her Duke of Edinburgh Award. Further down the hill we met Katie who had gone up the wrong hill!!!

Lots of scree which made coming down quite difficult and slow. An ice lolly was required before we headed home.
