Another straggler left over from an ambitious plan to do 3 with camping gear turned out 2 was plenty, so sguilard had to wait for another day, years later the day came. Mwis stating 90% chance of cloud free summits by late morning so planned on tagging on its near neighbour a Corbett. Was looking forward to it!

Left Edinburgh at 4.50am arrived at lay-by for quarter past 7 so far from a local hill! The clay was down to sea level so I tried to kip in the car to pass the time giving up and just went for it at quarter past 8. No messing about with a walk in it was straight up, followed the route to a tee the only thing missing was the views did not see a thing all day except the inside of a a cloud. There wAs very little wind even at the summit was tempted to sit and wait it out at Top when I arrived at 11.sat for longer than normal but the flies made me retreat seemed even worse on way down, made a speedy descent cutting out last ascent and heading for track. back at car for half 1 did not get home until half 4 too many slow drivers and 3 sets of roadworks that had appeared since the morning, and the blue sky and sun laughed at me all the way home, definitely one to revisit enjoyed the stomp despite the weather.
