Sgurr na Stri

We went for the views and we got them:). A very straightforward walk. On the last section of the route we took a path on the left hand side, which is not on the map. It is a good path. Coming down, we went down on the other side but that path drops down quite a bit to go up again so I much prefer the path we took when approaching the summit. Surprisingly, we were the only people on the hill. The other walkers were going to either Loch Coruisk or Camasunary. Heaven.

This is one of the fine images of the Scottish Hills. It always inspires the Hillwalker and has one of the grand features of the Cuillin dominating.... that of the Dubhs ridge a good way to reach the three Dubhs summits.
I never did reach the top of the Sgurr although once a lifetime ago we did spend a bit of time on the lower crags when staying in the Scavaig cottage. I wish that I had gone to the top of Sgurr na Stri...but I guess that we were overcome by the the bigger tops in the area. Sometimes you can miss-spend some of the time spent in an area.

Thank you for the comment. I really like what you have said about miss-spending time. Wise words. I am fairly new to hill walking and at the moment I still walk mainly for the views (and peace of mind:) ) so when I read about Sgurr na Stri I just could not think about any other hikes. Also, some of the big hills are still a bit too much for me so that gives me time to discover and enjoy the little ones first.

Definitely on my bucket list! I'd like to camp at the top and wake up to that view! In the sun of course
