On this early May weekend Fiona and I decided we'd head to Argyll for a short coastal walk (with an adhoc swim in the sea), and also a woodland walk. We would also hopefully avoid the crowds, the sun was out so we expected most places to be very busy. On route driving up by Arrochar the Car parks were bursting at the seems, thankfully we were carrying on
We haeaded down to Ardentinny first and parked up, it was pretty quiet with just a few families enjoying the beach. We headed up into the woods then down to the coast, following it until we found a spot for a swim
The water was cold but welcome in the soaring heat.
Parked up and ready for walking

We sat and soaked up the sunshine for a while and then started our drive towards Pucks Glen, admiring the sea views and chilled out seals

It wasn't long before we arrived at Pucks Glen, it was now mid afternoon.
Pucks Glen is a fantastic dramatic walk with little wooden bridges criss crossing along its enclosed rocky walls. Since we were having a relatively lazy day we trail ran the last 2k back to the car

And a very tall tree
We left Pucks Glen late afternoon and enjoyed a drive back to Glasgow in glorious sunshine. Our next adventure was a bigger event with 11 days straight (home & Abroad) to celebrate my birthday
