Tried to do MFM from Alltsigh last year but was diverted to the graham behind it (Glas Bheinn mor) by a rutting stag, so more successful this time. The usual route from the pottery at Balbeg only does half the actual ascent as you start from high up, so I fancied doing it from Alltsigh to get more of a hillwalk.

There's a good track from Allt Sigh up to join part fo the Great Glen Way, then when you cross back over the 2nd bridge at the top, soon leave the GGW to turn back on a sharp left. This track is then quite overgrown, but goes up probably to around the height of the Blabeg start. It's then just a case of striking out across the initially flat boggy ground (not as bad as it looks) to the base of MFM and heading up north eastwards to the summit. No path at all as it's rarely climbed from this side, so feels strange to arrive at the summit and see all the footprints in the mud around the well worn summit area.

I went back the same way, though might make a longer circular walk of it another time, coming up this way, then down the hill path to Balbeg and back along the route of the Great Glen Way to where I left the path and then back down to Allt Sigh.
