had a nice walk to the summit of meikle says law yesterday with the wife and its her first hill summit and she coped not bad for a lady with two replacement knees but did struggle a little on the last hill summit before getting back to the car.
we followed the trail all the way to the top and we where lucky due to the hot weather the burn was very low and I could make stepping stones for the wife to use. we had planned to do the circular route but path stopped at the trig point and she was not able to walk through the heather so we retraced our steps. we took about 2 1/2 hours to do the 7 1/2 miles.
we spotted our first adder sunbathing on the track which soon slithered off once it spotted us. also plenty of grouse about.
