The cloud was low, there was drizzle and there was no incentive to go up a hill. This is a pleasant little muscle stretcher for a couple of hours. The initial journey alongside the river tumbling down below is lovely, a nice path, lovely woodland. Once past the half way mark there is a short stretch on a narrow, sometimes grassy path which could become muddy in wet weather. The route then joins a forest track with occasional view across the loch. The track is a bit relentless but is all down hill - to be honest the outward half is by far the more pleasant stretch. A short undulating path links back over to the car park with nice views across the loch.
