Back to Cally Car Park on a nice morning.
After a fast walk yesterday I was interested to see how the legs would do today.
At 33 mins to Mill Dam, 55:30 to Raor Lodge and 01:29 to my turning point at the bridge I was in good shape just losing a minute in each section so 3 minutes off yesterday's pace at Loch Ordie.
After a quick stop I headed back down the track, that was when the problems set in. Stupidly, I had the approach shoes on for the 2nd day in a row and that just doesn't work and more or less straight away I could feel a bit of pain in my feet.
I think I felt every stone on the way back and ended up hobbling to the car park with a time of exactly 3hrs (which isn't bad). So 01:29 for the uphill bit and 01:31 for the downhill return.
I need to take a few days off for the feet to recover but I'm back to work tomorrow night anyway.
