This is not a cairn ................................... (Note rain in the distance!)

........................................................... THIS is a cairn!

A good day. Weather forecast was ok but promised showers. First up Cacra, then quickly back to the car to avoid the only shower of the day.Total 3.51 km and 228m ascent

Direct route back to the parking space by the bridge, route up was gentler by track from the bridge

Then it was over to Ward Law, parked at the Ettrick Willows carpark, back up to the road and over the small gate into head-high bracken. Managed to get into the grazed field on my right and hence on more open ground up the hill. Only detour was to avoid a group of horses but it was so hot they just stood, tails swishing; and watched me. Impressive Jubilee cairn at the summit.
Total 4.77 km, 357m ascent.
