Cnoc a' Bhaile-shios is an undistinguished Kintyre Marilyn 422m sitting south of Tarbert and surrounded by forestry It can be approached from the south using the right of two forestry tracks converging to meet the B8001 Skipness road between Spion Kop and Redesdale House. It is possible to drive about 1km up past felled areas to a turning point where after the track is not readily driveable. It deteriorates into clumpy wet grass and it would probably be best to take a firebreak left up towards Cnoc an Tobair at a junction. We went right and it was boggy and clumpy. with two stock fences. It is rough and knolly to the summit trig, On a clear day views are good east to Cowal and Arran and west to Jura. Return by same route using some faint ATV tracks here and there.
