I had to collect the family from the airport in the afternoon so wanted a quick hill I could do on the way down the A9. Ben Chonzie looked like a good choice, sat on its own it would of been a long drive to just come down for a short walk then heading home. After a few wrong turns I finally got to Invergeldie about 8:30. Already a few cars in the car park, boots on and away up the path at 8:45. A simple route following the track until the cairn where you cut over the heather then follow the fence posts to the shelter. Lovely weather all the way up and down and great summit views. I took a more direct descent straight down the hill towards the track, quite easy underfoot soft heather and moss. Back to the car for 11:30 and off to the airport with a lot of time to spare.
