Hi again, your map and route for this walk are both excellent. I only wish I had them with me, but folks I met
assured me that it was impossible to get lost on this walk. I did not get lost but took a wrong left at the path to
the reservoirs and had to turn back, also I left my satnav on the top of the car and had to go back for it. This will explain
the distance covered but not to worry it was great to see all stuff on route. The path along the Cut is easy and what
with the great views is spectacular. I was intrigued by the bothies and arched bridges, even one or two with fireplaces and chimneys, not the bridges, the bothies. There is one bothie with an arrangement of a large bucket attached to
a gate by means of a pulley which when the bucket is filled with water from an overflow, the bucket lowers and opens the gate to allow overflow. Great stuff. Again as before I met nice folk. What is it about walking that brings out the best
in people? All in a nice walk, next time I will take in Dunrod hill as well. best wishes from The Wanderer.
