Parked on south side of Loch Earn at Ardvolich. Ascended via tourist route and on summit after 2 hours. Cold wind on ridges, but mild when sheltered, which made layering difficult. Left summit via ridge between Vorlich and Stuc a 'Chroin. Followed path around bealach, to ascend gully to summit ridge. Saw beast of a mountan hare in gully, then ptarmigan on summit ridge.

After exploring summit cairns and enjoying now clear views, descended to west avoiding crags, before following steep path back down from bealach. Then followed marshy path round side of Ben Vorlich to rejoin main path.
