Auch called again. And that "exclusive parking lot" on the A82!!
Through the viaduct on the right hand track.
Good walk up to where the track ends and rather than staying left of the stream/gulley I went a little past it and curved round and up. It beat that relentless steepness to start with!!
Eventually got on the ridge line and a "path" beside the fence leading to the summit.
Nice views all round -mainly Dorain( looks s lot more impressive from up here), Beinn bhreac Liath and the other tyndrum Corbetts
On down beside the fence for a bit then steered away from it as per WH. Through a few bogs and picked a line up the right hand side. A boulder stood out about half way up and that was the place to aim for.
Steep ascent all the way up- picked a rock about 20 yards in front, hit the rock, has a couple of seconds breather and picked the next one. Got me up and not too knackered.
Nice view along loch Lyon and up to Beinn Mhanach and round to Sheasgsrnaich.
Also a good view straight through the Beallach between Dorain and Beinn an Doaith.
The descent wasn't too bad, followed the fence for a bit then broke off from it and saw the other fence heading down a bit further down.
Aimed for the water staircase and relieved to get back on the track.
To the lad I met here who was going up to mhanach and onto Achaladair- all the best.
The stream crossings all the way back were no where near as bad as the last time I was here - I kept the stilts in my Bergan today :D
Didn't seem as long either!!
Was treated to a heron at the waters edge by the farm/ holiday cottages.
Good walk today
Cheers
