Glencoe truly is magnificent but it can be very crowded, especially on weekends! Thankfully I have days off during the week so I set off one Thursday in blazing heat to walk the iconic Big Bookil - Stob na Broige (Buachaille Etive Mor)
Stob Dearg (Buachaille).

On arrival the car park wasn't too bad - happy days :) I crossed the bridge and headed up the rocky gully, it wasn't long before I reached the bealach. I headed left for the short climb to Stog Dearg. I was in no rush today so after sumitting I found a nice seclyded spot and sunbathed for an hour, I would do the same on Stob na Broige 8)

The ridge to Stob Dearg is long and enticing, a beautiful walk with stunning 360deg views :D Had the summit of Stob Dearg all to myself :D Spent an hour staring down Loch Etive before making my way off the mountain via the glen. Once back at the bridge crossing the river I decided to finish the day with a cool dip 8) A great walk...when sunny and quiet :)
