I started of from the hostel and took the detour to the Killiecrankie visitors centre and took the bridge over the power station back. It was unfortunate that I could hear the A9 constantly while walking on the eastside of the loch. The path to Killiecrakie is waymarked and the road on the other side is easy to find. Mind that is does take you on a road where cars drive pretty fast (in my opinion).
