Start of walk is on a nice dry track.

A bit of squelching followed but this grassy, wooded area before the castle was a lot drier.

Not too much to see of the castle ruins but does add to the atmosphere.

Into the nature reserve proper on a good path descending to the River Ythan. Not much in the way of actual nature but a few butterflies around.
