Not a walk report as such just some information regards Stalking on Ben Vane and its surrounding hills. There's now a laminated sign attached to the Telegraph pole at the walks start/car park. It requests that anyone using the hills in this area calls 01877 384255 to deconflict with 'Stalking' that is ongoing. We rang the number and were politely informed that no stalking was taking place that day. A quick call before setting off could avoid any disappointment.
Phone number correct as at 28 September 2018.

I, too, saw this warning, but couldn't get a signal to make the call, which seems to defeat the point. Proceeded anyway with no sight nor sound of stalking.
