Each October we try to get at least one good walk among woodland for the autumn colours. Usually that means somewhere like the Trossachs, but now we've moved to the east coast we decided that Dunkeld would be a good option. The colours seemed to come earlier this year, so on the 5th we headed to The Hermitage for the first time - a popular National Trust site - with an extension to Pine Cone Point which overlooks Tayside, before heading back along the Tay. Pictures below - light was a bit challenging for photos at times, but the colours were stunning, and we also spotted several red squirrels.
