We set off on the ferry to Mull with this Corbett the target for the day and then to head off to the Graignure Bunkhouse once complete for a shower then a pint and a meal in the pub next door .Finding the start and where to park the car safely was quite fiddly as the track to Upper Achnacroish is not sign posted and quite easily passed on the single track road as your looking out for vehicles coming in the opposite direction. We parked the car off the verge on the left side below one of the large oak trees. There did appear to be an access road directly opposite to a small parking area but no sign posts to suggest that.

Just after passing the first communications mast on the right take the track on the right as the left takes you only to the mast. As you would expect from an access track of this nature there is nothing steep to climb

The second mast appears on the left with the Corbett and full ridge in view. The actual summit is along the ridge on the extreme right of the photo where there is a large cairn

The second half of the walk gives good walking with all areas pretty dry underfoot

On the way back down the second mast in view. No photos taken at the actual summit cairn as the cloud had dropped, no views whatsoever. As we climbed up between the second mast and the trig point we had looked over to where we might come off if we did a circular route but had decided after all the rain which had fallen it might be as well going back the same way and saving us the long walk back along the road to the car.

Nice one Rod. Great wee hill and great viewpoint. Like all the hills on Mull it is best saved for a nice day as the seascape and views are brilliant. We cycled from Oban (If you know what I mean :D ) took the bikes up to the 2nd mast pushing mostly but brillant for tbe down hill we were back at the ferry in minutes. Like you we had cloud cover at the summit on a day where I think it was the only place in Scotland with clouds

All the best :D

Really enjoyed the summit part of the walk, good thinking taking the bikes as well, something I might consider next time I'm over. Bet you enjoyed the downhill return, brakepads hot :D
