Great day on the hills today with winter back and the mountains snow-capped again. Was originally going to head out on Saturday but a few friends were busy and so we agreed on Sunday. This had the added bonus of an extra hour in bed due to the clocks going back!
With a 5:40am alarm in the morning this was the freshest I've woken at that time ever.
We left Greenock at 6:30 and got to the car park at Fersit just after 9:00am. Love traffic-free early drives!
From the car it looked like it would be a bit of a slog up the steep slopes of Stob a'Choire Mheadhoin.

Ground then changed to firm frost just as we approached the snowline at 450m up. Great view of the mountain ahead.

As we rose higher up the first munro we got a great view west towards the Grey Corries looking stunning with their snow-caps.

Then at last the summit of Stob a'Choire Mheadhoin came into view.

Reached the summit at 12:30pm so stopped and had lunch taking in the brilliant clear day giving 360 degree views.

A relatively quick descent down to the Col between these to Munros and Stob Coire Easain was looking mighty impressive from here.

Very little wind on the top mean I could get the drone out for some aerial shots. Heres us at 2:00pm on the summit of Stob Coire Easain.

Perfect day out for the first real snow fall of the new winter season. Been looking forward to this for a while and hopefully get more days like this on the hills this winter.
