A short 3 hour walk from the cattle grid lay-by a couple of hundred yards south of Kilbridemore farm on the single track road on west side of Glendaruel. Cross the adjacent gate to enter the old oak wood and follow the fence on right bank of Allt na Croise all the way to unamed summit trig 470m. On the OS map the name Creachan Dubh seems associated with a much lower 397m spot height.
