Too windy to safely bag our second Munro so we opted for a lower level climb and my goodness we were not disappointed. Stunning Autumnal colour as we wandered up the footpath that leads up from the woolpack public house, entered onto the law which stretched our calves nicely as we gradually started to tussle with the wind. A few jump hops and leaps across boggy bits and we were bracing ourselves against the wind at the trig. Quick packed lunch and hot chocolate then descended the opposite hill, following the sheep until we reconnected with the ascending path. Home in time for Sunday pork and a bottle of Champion ale. Took lots of photos but no idea how to attach them, my twelve year old will undoubtedly know.
