Decided to vary the route by taking a loop round Greystane Hill, then up on to Threestanes hill and over Mount Shade to Clachnaben.
Met a cheery auld geezer coming down the track. The colours and light were so good I wanted to snap everything.

Took a firebreak up through the trees that seemed to have been used recently. There was a gate and style at the top making it easy to get out on to the open flanks of Threestanes hill. Wandered around on paths untill I found one heading to the top.

A good path led to the top of Mount Shade which gave a fine view of Clachnaben thst I hadn't seen before.

The path down to the Slack of Dye was ok which then leads up to the top of Clachnaben.
There was a young couple on the top who offered to take a pic Harvey and me. I accepted and we pose on top of "the wart".

Wandered ofer to the trig and tor before heading down.
