Cruach nan Cuilean sub 2000' Cowal marilyn is readily accessed from the 149m summit of B836 single track Colnitraive - Dunoon road between lochs Riddon and Striven, part of Cowal Way, with parking available at wide bell mouth forestry track entrance opposite the hydro track to the aqueduct for Striven Power Station, At the aqueduct sand trap an ATV track / well used path goes right by a fence then heads to A'Chruach 365m which can be taken directly. Cross broad grassy Bealach Gaoith and skirt left of Creag an Daimh 389m then north past a couple of knolls and small lochan and up grassy slope to Cruach nan Cuilean's grassy summit 432m, either of two grassy bumps the same height 20m apart, a stone on the southern of the pair 3.4km 1h 50min. Loch Striven to Arran S and Cruach Mhor windfarm to N being prominent. Return to col below the top and a path goes dowm right of stream then turn left to cross Bealach Gaoith to col on right of A'Chruach whence an ATV track/path goes down left of drystane dyke which leave lower down left to pick up ascent route. Total 6.4km, 359m ascent 3.5hrs,
