8 years ago I did a walk report for this about notices regarding tree felling higher up the hillside and path closures, this time the path was closed due to tree felling immediately above the village.

Path Diversion map

Diversion signs are in place to take you north along a minor road till another forest track in encountered on the left and this eventually turns back to meet the path higher up. Just keep going to find the sign post pointing up the hill and follow the track up. Keep left, ignore a path to the right half way up and stay left when the made path runs out and a worn one follows a small burn. There is a boggy side and the left track avoids the worst as it winds through the trees. Further up it was cold enough to freeze the boggy bits between the tops of the hills, so less need to watch where you put your feet.

Another walk to break my feet into new boots and also a new winter jacket. Both were fine. A good little workout in the new year.
